PT Setia Kawan Makmur Sejahtera

HIJAU collaborated with PT Setia Kawan Makmur Sejahtera to install a 1,590 kWp rooftop solar PV system. As a company engaged in waste recycling, they have a strong commitment to being environmentally friendly. This solar PV installation serves as tangible proof of their transition to renewable and environmentally friendly energy.

A 1,590 kWp rooftop solar PV system is being installed on the factory roof of PT Setia Kawan Makmur Sejahtera, covering approximately 1.5 hectares with 3,400 solar panels. The installation was completed in July 2025. Once operational, the solar PV system will replace 5–10% of the electricity that was previously generated from fossil fuels with environmentally friendly renewable energy.

In this project, HIJAU faced challenges such as the need to repair the roof before installing the rooftop solar PV system. Therefore, strong collaboration and effective communication between PT SKMS, technicians, the factory, and the HIJAU team were crucial to ensure the installation proceeded smoothly and was completed within the agreed timeframe.

Before starting the installation, the HIJAU team conducted a survey and inspections and recommended roof repairs first to ensure safety, as the rooftop solar PV system is intended for long-term use.

The 1,590 kWp solar PV system installation at PT SKMS has been successfully completed by HIJAU. Through this initiative, PT SKMS contributed to reducing carbon emissions by 26,897 tons, equivalent to planting 43,035 trees. This collaboration serves as tangible proof of PT SKMS’s commitment to supporting the transition to clean and sustainable energy. In addition to its positive environmental impact, this initiative also provides operational cost efficiency and strengthens the company’s reputation among investors and business partners.
