PT Wintai Garment

Overview

HIJAU has installed a rooftop solar PV system at PT Wintai Garment, a company operating in the textile industry. The company aims to reduce its environmental impact and carbon emissions, one of which is achieved through the use of rooftop solar PV.

Project Details

In this project, HIJAU installed a 775 kWp rooftop solar PV system in Majalengka. As a manufacturing facility in the garment and textile industry, the energy demand for production and operations is very high. However, driven by a vision to reduce environmental impact and carbon emissions, PT Wintai Garment decided to transition to clean energy through a solar power system. The project was completed and has been operational since August 2025.

Challenges

During the rooftop solar PV installation process, the HIJAU team faced challenges as the work was carried out during the rainy season, while the installation required favorable weather conditions. Nevertheless, HIJAU maximized its efforts to ensure the installation was completed on time, maintained high safety standards, and ensured the solar PV system functioned properly by strengthening collaboration between the HIJAU team, technicians, and the factory.

Our Solution

Upon completion of this project, HIJAU successfully helped the company reduce operational costs by transitioning to solar PV, which is significantly more cost-effective. As a result, the company can lower production costs, use environmentally friendly energy, and reduce its environmental impact.

Result

The installation of a 775 kWp solar PV system at PT Wintai Garment has been successfully delivered by HIJAU. Through this initiative, PT Wintai Garment contributes to a reduction of 23,463 tons of carbon emissions, equivalent to planting 37,541 trees. This step reflects the company’s commitment to supporting the transition toward clean and sustainable energy, while also delivering tangible benefits in the form of improved operational cost efficiency.
