Project Overview
PT CJ Feed and Care, a company operating in the animal feed industry, required an energy solution to reduce its reliance on PLN (Indonesia's state-owned electricity company) and lower operational costs across its four main factories located in Lampung, Serang, Semarang, and Jombang. HIJAU was tasked with designing and installing rooftop solar power systems (PLTS Atap) to enhance energy efficiency, reduce electricity expenses, and support operational sustainability.
Challenges Faced
Each factory at PT CJ Feed and Care presented unique characteristics and challenges. The widespread locations of the factories required seamless coordination between HIJAU and local technical teams. Additionally, weather conditions in some regions posed additional difficulties in ensuring the safe and timely installation of the solar power systems.
HIJAU's Solution
HIJAU designed customized solar power systems tailored to the needs of each factory. The systems utilized high-quality solar panels integrated with the factories' power grids, maximizing solar energy usage during the day and reducing dependence on PLN electricity. HIJAU also implemented real-time monitoring to ensure optimal performance at each location.
Results and Benefits
Following the installation, PT CJ Feed and Care's four factories achieved up to 30% savings in electricity costs. The use of solar energy also contributed to a reduction of 250 tons of CO2 emissions annually. All factories now have a more reliable power source, minimizing the risk of operational disruptions caused by power outages.
