Lippo Mall Cikarang (Phase II)

HIJAU has installed a 765 kWp rooftop solar PV system at Lippo Mall Cikarang as part of Phase I in 2024. Following the completion of the first project, Lippo Mall Cikarang proceeded with a Phase II solar PV installation. This step aligns with Lippo Mall Cikarang’s needs and commitment to transitioning to renewable energy and contributing to climate change mitigation.

The Phase II rooftop solar PV installation at Lippo Mall Cikarang, with a capacity of 301.6 kWp, was completed in May 2025. Following the completion of this installation, Lippo Mall Cikarang is able to maximize the use of its rooftop solar PV system.

As the installation was carried out in a shopping mall area, higher energy demand is required during weekends and lower demand on weekdays. Therefore, a flexible energy supply is essential. HIJAU successfully adjusted the energy supply to match the company’s needs. The Phase II installation was carried out during the rainy season, which presented its own challenges; however, HIJAU remained committed to completing the project on time in line with the company’s requirements.

The Phase II rooftop solar PV installation at Lippo Mall Cikarang has positioned the mall as an environmentally friendly shopping center, reduced operational costs, and aligned with Lippo’s commitment to reducing carbon emissions in Indonesia.

The solar PV installation project at Lippo Mall Cikarang has a total capacity of 1,066.6 kWp. This achievement has resulted in a reduction of carbon emissions by 32,266 tons, equivalent to planting 51,626 trees. The solar PV installation supports Lippo Group’s efforts and commitment to transitioning to environmentally friendly renewable energy. For the company, the use of HIJAU’s solar PV system at Lippo Mall Cikarang has successfully improved the efficiency and effectiveness of electricity usage on both weekdays and weekends.
