Project Overview
PT CJ Feed and Care, a company engaged in animal feed production, needed an energy solution to reduce dependence on PLN electricity and save operational costs across its four main factories. HIJAU was tasked with designing and installing rooftop solar power systems in Lampung, Serang, Semarang, and Jombang, with the goal of enhancing energy efficiency, lowering electricity costs, and supporting operational sustainability.
Challenges
Each factory at PT CJ Feed and Care has its own unique characteristics and challenges. The widespread location of the factories required effective coordination between the HIJAU team and the local technical teams during the installation process. Additionally, weather conditions at some sites posed challenges in ensuring that the solar power systems were installed safely and on schedule.
HIJAU Solutions
HIJAU designed solar power systems tailored to the needs of each factory. These systems utilize high-quality solar panels that can be integrated with the factory's electrical grid, maximizing the use of solar energy during the day and reducing dependence on PLN electricity. HIJAU also implements real-time monitoring to ensure optimal performance at each location.
Results & Benefits
After the installation was completed, the solar power systems at PT CJ Feed and Care's four factories successfully achieved electricity cost savings of up to 30%. The use of solar energy also contributed to a reduction of 250 tons of CO2 emissions per year. All factories now have a more reliable energy source, reducing the risk of power outages that could disrupt operations.
