HIJAU is currently installing a 369.7 kWp solar PV system at Lippo Mall in Batu City. This marks the third collaborative project between HIJAU and Lippo, demonstrating Lippo's commitment to transitioning from fossil fuel-based electricity to environmentally friendly renewable energy.
Project Overview:
Lippo Plaza Mall is one of the main shopping centers in Batu City, East Java. HIJAU is installing a 369.7 kWp solar PV system, with the project expected to be completed by the second quarter of 2025.
Challenges Faced:
The installation of the solar PV system is taking place during the rainy season, making weather a significant challenge as the installation process heavily depends on weather conditions. Despite this, HIJAU remains optimistic about completing the project on time while maintaining high safety standards.
HIJAU's Solution:
HIJAU is supporting Lippo Plaza Mall in realizing its commitment to transitioning to renewable energy, reducing air pollution, and lowering operational costs by installing solar PV systems on the mall's rooftop in Batu City, East Java.
Results and Benefits:
Once the solar PV installation project is completed across all Lippo Mall locations, Plaza Mall Indonesia will be able to generate 1,029,288 kWp of electricity annually. This is equivalent to reducing 912 tons of CO2 emissions each year or planting 24,000 trees annually. This aligns with the company's commitment to shifting toward more environmentally friendly renewable energy sources.
