HIJAU installed a 765 kWp rooftop solar power system (PLTS) at Lippo Cikarang Mall in Phase I of 2024. After the completion of the first project, Lippo Cikarang Mall proceeded with the installation of PLTS in Phase II. This aligns with Lippo Cikarang Mall's commitment to transitioning to renewable energy and contributing to climate change mitigation.
Project Overview:
The Phase II rooftop PLTS installation at Lippo Cikarang Mall has a capacity of 302.6 kWp and is expected to be completed by the second quarter of 2025. Once this installation is completed, Lippo Cikarang Mall will be able to maximize the use of its rooftop PLTS.
Challenges Faced:
Since the installation is taking place in a mall area, energy consumption is higher on weekends and lower on weekdays, requiring a flexible energy supply. HIJAU successfully adapted to the company's needs. Additionally, the Phase II installation is taking place during the rainy season, which presents an additional challenge. However, HIJAU is committed to completing the project on time to meet the company's requirements.
HIJAU's Solution:
The Phase II rooftop PLTS installation at Lippo Cikarang Mall transforms the mall into an eco-friendly establishment, reduces operational costs, and aligns with Lippo's commitment to reducing carbon emissions.
Results and Benefits:
Once the solar PV system installation is completed across all locations of Lippo Cikarang Mall, Plaza Mall Indonesia will be able to generate 1,029,288 kWp of electricity annually. This is equivalent to reducing 912 tons of CO2 emissions per year or planting 24,000 trees annually. This aligns with the company's commitment to transitioning to more environmentally friendly renewable energy.
